Zakk Wylde Acoustic 2026

Heavy metal guitar icon Zakk Wylde temporarily traded his roaring amplifiers for an acoustic guitar this week. On Wednesday, February 11, the Black Label Society frontman treated fans to a special solo acoustic mini-set and poster signing at the legendary Amoeba Hollywood.

The 5:00 p.m. in-store performance helped set the stage for Black Label Society‘s upcoming studio album, Engines Of Demolition. Arriving on March 27 via MNRK Heavy, the 15-track record serves as the much-anticipated follow-up to 2021’s Doom Crew Inc. Fans can expect a heavy dose of new material on the upcoming LP, which includes the four previously released singles: “Name In Blood,” “Broken And Blind,” “The Gallows,” and “Lord Humungus.” The album also features a track titled “Ozzy’s Song,” a clear tribute to Wylde‘s longtime bandmate and mentor, Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne.

During the Amoeba appearance, Wylde ran through a brief but powerful selection of tracks spanning his solo work and Black Label Society catalog. A full video of the performance has been uploaded to YouTube and you can watch it down below.

Featured songs:

  • 01:16 “Lost Prayer” (from the album Book Of Shadows II)
  • 05:36 “The Blessed” Hellride (Black Label Society song)
  • 10:28 “Name In Blood” (Black Label Society song)
  • 15:32 “Spoke In The Wheel” (Black Label Society song)

Wylde originally formed Black Label Society in 1998, balancing his time as a frontman with his duties as Ozzy Osbourne‘s trusted lead guitarist—a role he landed nearly 40 years ago by mailing in a demo cassette as a teenager.

Since then, Wylde has graced the cover of Guitar World over a dozen times and played on iconic Ozzy albums like No More Tears (1991), Ozzmosis (1995), and Black Rain (2007). In fact, 2020’s Ordinary Man is the only Osbourne solo album Wylde hasn’t played on since joining the fold.

Meanwhile, Black Label Society has grown into a relentless touring machine, selling millions of albums globally. Releases like Order Of The Black (2010) and Catacombs Of The Black Vatican (2014) both successfully cracked the top five on the hard rock album charts.
