Yungblud spotted a sign in the crowd in Billings, Montana and brought a couple onstage to reveal their baby’s gender.
Yungblud has handled crowd requests before. A gender reveal was a first.
The Doncaster singer, real name Dominic Harrison, was midway through his show at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark in Billings, Montana on Friday, August 7 when he picked out a sign in the crowd reading: “We are pregnant, do our gender reveal.”
“I’ve ain’t never done a f**king gender reveal before,” Yungblud said. “Let me tell you something, I ain’t a priest but I’ll f**king do it. Come on.”
An envelope was passed down towards the stage. Yungblud was not satisfied with that arrangement: “F**k that, get up here, get them up here.”
The couple were brought up and asked to introduce themselves to the arena. “Make some f**king noise man,” he added.
He then held up the envelope and admitted he was feeling the pressure himself.
“So I open this and this is gonna show you if it’s a boy or it’s a girl? Come on get closer, I’m nervous too,” Yungblud said.
He added: “I’m gonna remember this moment forever. Bringing life into the world what a beautiful f**king day. Congratulations guys.”
He asked the couple to close their eyes before opening it, then gave them the news: “You got…it’s a f**king girl,” He hugged them both as the crowd reacted.
The Billings date sits on the American leg of the “Idols – The World Tour“, which opened in Sydney and supports Yungblud‘s two-part Idols project. The first half arrived in June 2025, with Idols II following.
It came a week after his Lollapalooza appearance in Chicago on July 31, where The Smashing Pumpkins brought him out during their headline set for “Luna“, from 1993’s Siamese Dream. Yungblud had played his own set at Grant Park earlier the same day, along with an official aftershow at the Riviera Theatre the night before.
The Montana show also follows a difficult stretch. Yungblud withdrew from the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary last month, saying he needed time to work on himself, after speaking openly about struggling emotionally in the wake of his BludFest headline set in Czechia and a round of online accusations about his career.
