During a recent performance at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, Yungblud delivered a tearful tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. Playing in the legendary frontman’s hometown on Thursday, April 23, the 28-year-old musician paused his set to honor his profound influence.
Prior to his passing in 2025, Ozzy Osbourne had been a massive inspiration and mentor for Yungblud. The young rocker previously sang a cover of “Changes” during the Black Sabbath 2025 farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning.” He brought that same cover back to the stage on Thursday under much heavier circumstances.
As the opening piano notes of “Changes” echoed through the arena, the crowd began chanting Ozzy Osbourne‘s name. Yungblud addressed the audience, pointing toward the sky:
“You all alright if I dedicate this next song to a dear friend in the sky, Birmingham?”
“I’ve been shi**ing myself for days to play this in Birmingham tonight. Because you changed my f**king life, man.”
Midway through the song, Yungblud broke down in tears, struggling to finish the vocal lines. The Birmingham crowd immediately stepped in, providing backing vocals to help him complete the emotional performance.
Despite the heavy moment, he managed to push through and finish the remaining six songs of the night. The performance was part of his ongoing “Idols World Tour,” which recently stopped in London and will head to the United States starting May 01 at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
