A surprising wish has emerged from WWE’s ranks: rising star Bron Breakker wants nu-metal pioneers Limp Bizkit to create his future entrance theme. The request, made during a red-carpet interview at last month’s WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony with Billboard, signals a potential reunion between the band and the wrestling world.

Limp Bizkit once held a significant presence in WWE programming. They were famously known as “WWE’s favorite band,” making an appearance at WrestleMania XIX in 2003. Their track “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” became synonymous with The Undertaker‘s popular “American Badass” phase, serving as his iconic entrance music. While their involvement has dwindled over the years – save for a controversial incident involving Fred Durst at SummerSlam years ago – Breakker‘s interest could pave the way for their return.

During the Billboard interview, various WWE Superstars were asked which artists they would choose for their entrance music. Responses included Bayley eyeing Paramore and Damian Priest considering Metallica. However, when the question was posed to Bron Breakker, then-Intercontinental Champion and a new associate of Paul Heyman, he named Limp Bizkit without hesitation.

Given Breakker‘s powerful and aggressive in-ring style, as the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner, Limp Bizkit‘s catalog offers fitting options. Their hit song “Break Stuff” immediately comes to mind for its raw energy, though it would undoubtedly require significant censoring to meet WWE’s family-friendly content standards and satisfy sponsors. Another potential, albeit lyrically challenging, choice could be “Hot Dog,” which might resonate with Breakker’s “got that dawg in him” persona, despite its explicit content.

If Fred Durst and the rest of Limp Bizkit are tuning in, Bron Breakker’s public endorsement might just be the cue for them to mend past rifts and roll out a new track for the “Badass” of the squared circle. The prospect of Limp Bizkit making a comeback to WWE’s soundscape through Breakker offers an intriguing blend of nu-metal nostalgia and modern wrestling aggression.

Limp Bizkit recently dropped a big hint about new music. They shared a picture from the recording studio on April 30th, 2025, showing the whole band together.

The photo features Fred Durst (singer), Wes Borland (guitarist), Sam Rivers (bassist), John Otto (drummer), and DJ Lethal. The caption was just one mysterious word: “Nu.”

While there’s no official announcement, fans are taking this as a strong sign that the nu-metal band is working on new songs. This studio glimpse follows earlier news from October 2024 that drummer John Otto was recording drums. This new photo suggests the project is moving forward, maybe even into full band recording or mixing.

New music from Limp Bizkit would be coming relatively quickly. Their last album, Still S*cks, came out in 2021 after a ten-year gap since 2011’s Gold Cobra. (Before that, there was an eight-year wait between 2003’s Results May Vary and Gold Cobra, partly because the band broke up for a bit. Many fans actually prefer to forget the Results May Vary album altogether.) So, this faster pace is definitely getting their fans excited.
