Spineshank Austin Texas 2025

After an almost 13-year hiatus from the live stage, Spineshank made a powerful return on Thursday, July 10, captivating a dedicated audience at Come And Take It Live in Austin, Texas. This performance, only their second in over a decade, served as a potent reintroduction to the band’s heavy sound and marked the live debut of their reinvigorated lineup.

The 2025 iteration of Spineshank features core members Jonny Santos (vocals), Tommy Decker (drums), and Robert Garcia (bassist/vocals). Adding fresh energy to the fold are new recruits Tommy Decker, Jr. – drummer Tommy Decker‘s own son – and ex-Chimaira guitarist Jason Hager, both joining on guitar. Fans eager to relive the momentous evening can find complete fan-filmed video of the concert circulating online, and you can watch it down below.

The Austin setlist showcased a breadth of Spineshank‘s material, much to the delight of their long-awaiting fanbase:

  1. Asthmatic
  2. Synthetic
  3. (Can’t Be) Fixed
  4. Cyanide 2600
  5. Play God
  6. Malnutrition
  7. Seamless
  8. Negative Space
  9. Transparent
  10. New Disease
  11. The Height Of Callousness
  12. Smothered
  13. Violent Mood Swings
  14. Beginning Of The End
  15. Dead To Me

This live resurgence is part of Spineshank‘s “25 Years Of Rebellion & Callousness” summer tour, a commemorative co-headlining trek with The Union Underground. The tour celebrates the 25th anniversaries of Spineshank‘s influential sophomore album, The Height Of Callousness, and The Union Underground‘s sole studio LP, …An Education In Rebellion. Special guests Adema and Sicksense are also joining select dates.

Adding to the excitement, Spineshank vocalist Jonny Santos recently confirmed to Rock Feed that the reunited band will be releasing a new song “in the coming weeks.” Santos indicated that the track has been recorded and is currently in the final stages of editing, with the band soon to begin reviewing rough mixes.
