The night was made even more special by the opening act, iconic former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman and his solo band. His statement reads:

“My band and I had an incredible time playing in Istanbul! … After our show Naoki [Morioka, a member of Marty‘s Japanese touring band] and I watched as [current Megadeth guitarist] Teemu [Mäntysaari] absolutely NAILED my solos with ease and Megadeth tore up the place! We can’t wait to come back.”

The Istanbul show comes as Megadeth prepares to launch the first single, “Tipping Point,” from their upcoming final studio album this Friday, October 3. As previously announced, the band will conclude their four-decade recording career with the new album, followed by a massive global farewell tour in 2026.

The band’s upcoming album will be released through Mustaine‘s own Tradecraft imprint, in collaboration with the new BLKIIBLK label from Frontiers Label Group. In addition to the music, Mustaine plans to publish a new memoir next year, with further details to be announced soon.
