Fan-filmed video of Megadeth‘s entire recent concert in Istanbul, Turkey, is now available for viewing online. The performance, which took place on Monday, September 22, at Maçka Küçükçiftlik Park, was a notable stop on the band’s current tour, as they delivered a career-spanning 17-song set and were supported by their own legendary former guitarist, Marty Friedman.
The thrash metal icons treated the Istanbul crowd to a powerful set packed with classics, including “Hangar 18,” “Symphony Of Destruction,” and “Peace Sells,” alongside newer material like “We’ll Be Back.”

The night was made even more special by the opening act, iconic former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman and his solo band. While he did not join his former bandmates on stage, Friedman shared a glowing and supportive review of their performance on social media afterwards, specifically praising his successor, Teemu Mäntysaari.
His statement reads:
“My band and I had an incredible time playing in Istanbul! … After our show Naoki [Morioka, a member of Marty‘s Japanese touring band] and I watched as [current Megadeth guitarist] Teemu [Mäntysaari] absolutely NAILED my solos with ease and Megadeth tore up the place! We can’t wait to come back.”
The Istanbul show comes as Megadeth prepares to launch the first single, “Tipping Point,” from their upcoming final studio album this Friday, October 3. As previously announced, the band will conclude their four-decade recording career with the new album, followed by a massive global farewell tour in 2026.
The band’s upcoming album will be released through Mustaine‘s own Tradecraft imprint, in collaboration with the new BLKIIBLK label from Frontiers Label Group. In addition to the music, Mustaine plans to publish a new memoir next year, with further details to be announced soon.
