Venom have officially released the music video for their latest single, “Kicked Outta Hell.” The track serves as the second preview from their impending sixteenth studio album, Into Oblivion, which is scheduled to hit shelves on May 1 via Noise/BMG. The accompanying visual was created by Andy Pilkington.

Built to be a massive live anthem, the band considers the new track to be among the most aggressive material they have ever written. Frontman Conrad “Cronos” Lant explained the song’s lyrical concept, offering a unique perspective on their trademark imagery:

“This one is me just having fun. I’m putting myself above the Devil in the lyric, which I think is an interesting twist. The Devil’s pissed off with us!”

Drummer Danté (Danny Needham) summarized the track’s blunt message: “You’re not staying in hell, get out!” Meanwhile, guitarist Rage (Stuart Dixon) confirmed the sheer musical weight of the single, stating: “It’s one of the heaviest songs on the album. It’s grinding and straight ahead.”

Into Oblivion marks the legendary group’s first full-length studio release since 2018’s Storm The Gates. The 13-track record merges the band’s classic 1980s foundation with a more modern, progressive edge. The project faced several setbacks over the past few years, hindered by the global pandemic and the trio’s relentless drive to perfect the recordings.

“This album has really pushed the boundaries, but if you want to make a killer album, you pay for it in blood, sweat and tears,” Cronos shared regarding the lengthy studio process.

Rage echoed that sentiment, expressing massive satisfaction with the final results: “I’m so proud of this album. It’s astounding! It feels so different, yet so familiar. The sonics are a step up, no song sounds the same, but they all work together.”

The album’s promotional cycle initially kicked off with the lead single, “Lay Down Your Soul,” a track that intentionally nods back to the band’s formative era. Discussing that earlier release, Cronos noted: “I think it’s healthy to recognize things from back in the day and bring them into a new setting that gives it a whole fresh approach. The fans are going to go mental for it!”

The current roster of Cronos, Rage, and Danté has been operating together for 17 years, easily making it the longest-lasting incarnation in the band’s history. Reflecting on the milestone and their undeniable chemistry, Danté said: “It’s gone like that, seventeen years! It’s all down to friendship and mutual respect.”

Physical pre-orders for the CD and vinyl editions are currently live. Fans who order directly through the Noise Records webstore will receive a limited-edition photo card signed by all three band members, while supplies last.
