Upon A Burning Body have left DevilDriver‘s “Strike And Kill” tour after members of their camp tested positive for COVID.
Upon A Burning Body have pulled out of the remaining dates on DevilDriver‘s “Strike And Kill” tour after people in their touring party tested positive for COVID-19. The San Antonio band announced it on Saturday, with four shows left to run.
The band wrote:
“IMPORTANT UPDATE”
“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances and the safety of others, we will not be playing the remainder of the ‘Strike & Kill Tour.'”
“Some of our camp has tested positive for COVID and it just wouldn’t be right to continue putting everyone else at risk.”
“We are sorry, and it hurts us to not be able to play these shows. We promise to make it up to everyone soon.”

The band drop off with the tour on its final stretch. The remaining dates are Salt Lake City at The Depot on 30 August, Reno’s Club Underground on 2 September, a further show on 4 September and the closing night at the House of Blues in Anaheim on 5 September. Cultus Black and Sun Collide are on the bill for the last few nights.
Ov Sulfur continue as openers.
“Strike And Kill” opened on 14 August at the Observatory North Park in San Diego and has taken in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Chicago and Milwaukee, among others. Upon A Burning Body played their hometown on 18 August at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio.
The run supports DevilDriver‘s eleventh album, Strike And Kill, released on 10 July through Napalm Records and led by the single “Dig Your Own Grave” in April.
