Baltimore hardcore pioneers Turnstile have released their fourth studio album, Never Enough, today, June 6, via Roadrunner Records. The highly anticipated record arrives amidst a wave of critical acclaim, with some hailing it as a potential landmark release for the genre.
The album, the follow-up to their 2021 breakthrough Glow On, has received rave reviews. Writing for Metal Hammer, journalist Stephen Hill predicted a massive impact: “Turnstile could be sitting on a landmark record, the likes of which this genre has never seen: hardcore’s answer to Nirvana’s Nevermind… Never Enough is not just a brilliant album, it’s that rarest of things: an album that feels like it’s going to move the needle and reshape both the perceptions and the ceiling of a genre.”
Earlier this week, the band gave a national television audience a preview of the new material, performing two songs, “I Care” and “Dull”, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. This marked their second appearance on the iconic NBC show, having previously played “Blackout” in 2022.
Never Enough represents a new chapter for Turnstile. It is their first album to not feature founding guitarist Brady Ebert, following his departure in 2022, and the first to feature guitarist Meg Mills as an official member after she began touring with the band in 2023.
Speaking recently to The Independent, frontman Brendan Yates reflected on the band’s endurance. “The fact that the band can exist for this long and everyone still deeply loves each other – it feels like a miracle sometimes,” he said.

Turnstile is set to begin an extensive tour of Europe tomorrow, June 7, with a performance at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona.
