Turnstile have released Never Enough: Versions, with Elton John, Dying Fetus and Hayley Williams among the guests.
Turnstile have put out Never Enough: Versions, a 22-track rebuild of the album that won them two Grammys in February. Twenty-three musicians took part, and the range of them is the point, Elton John at one end, Dying Fetus at the other.
The most eye-catching pairing is not an accident of scheduling. “Birds” won Best Metal Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards, and the Maryland death metal band have now recorded their own version of it. Both acts come out of the same state: Turnstile from Baltimore, Dying Fetus from Annapolis, and the song appears twice on the record, in their version and in one by pop artist Slayyyter.
John added keys and vocals to “Seein’ Stars“. He has been open about liking the band for some time, sharing his admiration with singer Brendan Yates in December.
His involvement created a reshuffle. Hayley Williams of Paramore sang on “Seein’ Stars” on the original album; here she moves to “Ceiling” instead. Blood Orange, who appeared on three tracks first time round, takes “Light Design“.
The original Never Enough ran to 14 songs. This version stretches those into 22 tracks, with eight of them appearing twice in different hands — “Birds“, “Dreaming“, “Dull“, “Sunshower“, “Light Design“, “Look Out For Me“, “Magic Man” and the title track.
Angel Du$t take “Sunshower“, a family arrangement of sorts given the overlap in membership between the two bands over the years.

The Album It Reworks
Never Enough came out on 6 June 2025 through Roadrunner, produced by Yates. It was the band’s fourth album, their first without founding guitarist Brady Ebert, who left in 2022, and the first to feature Meg Mills.
It took five Grammy nominations and won two, Best Rock Album, and Best Metal Performance for “Birds“, the first the band have won. The title track went to number one on Billboard‘s Alternative Airplay chart in August 2025. A companion film, Turnstile: Never Enough, directed by Yates with Pat McCrory, had a theatrical run.
Before release the band played a free show in Baltimore raising money for Healthcare for the Homeless.
Turnstile begin the 16-date “Never Enough Tour Pt. 2” in North America next month, with a different support bill in each city — among them Clipse, Ceremony, Thundercat, Slayyyter, Hatebreed, Vince Staples, Yves Tumor, Die Spitz, Pennywise, Cold World and Texas Is The Reason. The band are working with a local nonprofit at every date, each with a presence at the venue.
They finish their European festival run this weekend, playing All Points East in London tonight and Rock En Seine tomorrow.
