Turnstile are the featured artist for September at Five Guys, which means their music will be playing in the chain’s restaurants and turning up in its promotional material for the rest of the month.
The band’s response to the announcement was a request of their own. Commenting under the chain’s post, they wrote: “When we gettin a veggie burger?”
Five Guys does not currently put a meat-free patty on its menu. The band has not said anything further about the comment, and no current member has publicly stated a dietary position, though several members of the band’s early lineup were known at the time to be vegan.
Five Guys runs the featured artist slot on a monthly cycle, with previous picks including O.A.R., The Technicolors, The Sheepdogs and Plain White T’s.
It adds to a list of corporate tie-ins Turnstile have taken on over the past few years, among them Taco Bell, Guess Jeans, Converse and the Baltimore Orioles, the baseball team in their home city.
The partnership comes in the middle of the biggest year of their career. Never Enough, released in 2025, reached the top ten in five countries and brought them five Grammy nominations, the first time a band has been nominated in the rock, alternative and metal categories in the same year. They won two of them on February 1: Best Rock Album for the record and Best Metal Performance for “Birds“.
In August, Turnstile released Never Enough: Versions, a 22-track rebuild of the album that won them two Grammys. Twenty-three musicians took part, and the range of them is the point, Elton John at one end, Dying Fetus at the other.
They are currently on a North American tour that runs to mid-November and finishes at Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles, and are due to make their “Saturday Night Live” debut this autumn on the season’s third episode, hosted by Dakota Johnson.
