Brittany Furlan has taken a temporary break from her duties as co-host of This is The Worst Podcast. Her co-host, Brittany Schmitt, addressed Furlan‘s absence, explaining that she “needs a little time to herself to digest everything that’s gone on the past couple of days and weeks.” Schmitt added: “She is going through it right now.”
Schmitt confirmed the podcast will continue with her as the sole host for now. “I don’t know when she’ll be back. I don’t know how much time she’s going to need to take. In the meantime, the podcast will keep going. I will hold down forth,” she stated. Reflecting on life’s complexities, Schmitt commented: “Life is complicated and messy and tricky and f**cked up and scary. Relationships are all those things. I think just two imperfect people trying to make a thing work is always complicated and having your s**t put out there on a public level is mortifying. So, all we can do is send her love. She’ll be back when she’s ready to be back.”
This announcement comes amid reports of a separation between Brittany Furlan and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee after six years of marriage. Sources cited by UNN and Page Six suggest Lee‘s drinking habits contributed to the alleged split. While no divorce filings have been made, the separation may signal a more permanent breakup.
The situation became more public when musician Ronnie Radke made Instagram posts on May 16, 2025. Radke claimed Furlan had been in a “fake relationship with a catfish posing as me” and that this played a role in her marital issues. He alleged Furlan “got caught messaging” the impersonator on Snapchat and that Tommy Lee confronted him after a confession from Furlan.
In a TikTok video, Furlan shared her side of the story. She admitted to interacting with someone she believed to be Radke on Snapchat, who “started trying to seduce me” during a difficult period in her marriage. Furlan criticized the real Radke for making her private marital struggles public.
“I’ve been going through a really tough time in my marriage, which was none of anyone’s f**king business, but he’s made it everyone’s business,” Furlan stated. She expressed frustration with Radke‘s continued public comments: “It’s a catfish, cool. I got catfished. Why are you still harassing me? Why are you sending me hundreds of messages? Why are you trolling me? I don’t give a f**k. I unfollowed you. Leave me alone. That’s it.”
