Legendary Rage Against The Machine and former Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello has officially shared a brief tease of his upcoming solo single, “Adjourn It“. The highly anticipated track serves as a massive collaborative effort, reuniting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician with his longtime friend and Axis of Justice co-founder, Serj Tankian of System Of A Down. Adding a deeply personal dynamic to the heavy new release, the song also features musical contributions from the guitarist’s own teenage son, Roman.

Thematically, the new single tackles heavy political and social issues, aligning perfectly with the guitarist’s lifelong history of intense, unapologetic activism. Discussing the core inspiration behind the track’s creation, Tom Morello provided the following powerful statement regarding the current global climate:

“The persecution of immigrants across the land and the counterforce of a heroic resistance to the rising tide of fascism. ‘ADJOURN IT‘ is a ‘Freedom Song’ of crushing riffs for justice and equality.”

Fans will not have to wait long to hear the complete collaboration. The official premiere date for “Adjourn It” is firmly locked in for Friday, May 29. Pre-saves are currently available across all major digital streaming platforms via the guitarist’s official online portal.

The impending release of the new single arrives as Tom Morello wraps up an incredibly busy spring touring schedule. Earlier this year, the outspoken musician made headlines when he made a decision to cancel a string of his own solo headline dates and high-profile festival appearances, including scheduled stops at Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, and BottleRock Napa Valley.

The cancellations were made so the guitarist could hit the road and share the stage with another longtime friend and collaborator, Bruce Springsteen. Sparked by a shared desire to spotlight current threats to democracy and human rights, Tom Morello altered his calendar to integrate directly into the “Land Of Hope & Dreams American Tour” alongside Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

That extensive arena run is now reaching its grand finale. Following a massive string of performances across the United States over the past two months, the iconic rock collaborative only has three final tour dates left on the schedule: a massive show tonight, May 24, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by the May 27 show at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. and final concert on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
