Legendary British rock pioneers The Who have announced the final stop on their North American farewell tour, aptly named “The Song Is Over,” bringing a monumental chapter of music history to a close this October. In a move that highlights their vast, cross-generational influence, the band also revealed that 90s punk rock icons The Offspring will join them as special guests for their upcoming performance at the Hollywood Bowl.
The grand finale of the U.S. and Canada tour is now set for Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs, California. This show will officially mark the last chance for North American fans to see the iconic band perform on a major tour. Tickets for the final concert are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 17, with various pre-sales beginning on September 16.
In another major announcement, The Who confirmed that The Offspring will be added as special guests for their highly anticipated show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles next Friday, September 19. The pairing is a powerful testament to The Who‘s enduring legacy as the “incendiary force” that blazed a “searing new template for rock, punk, and everything after,” directly inspiring the generations of bands that followed in their wake.
Emerging from London in the mid-1960s, The Who—originally comprised of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon—redefined the sound and attitude of rock and roll. Their career, which has now spanned over 50 years, includes more than 2,000 live performances at some of the most legendary events in music history, including Woodstock, Monterey Pop, Live Aid, and the Super Bowl halftime show.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, the band’s catalog includes groundbreaking concept albums like 1969’s rock opera Tommy and 1973’s Quadrophenia, alongside a string of era-defining anthems such as “My Generation,” “Baba O’Riley,” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
