The Pretty Reckless have premiered the official music video for their rendition of “Where Are You Christmas?“, the lead single from their new holiday EP, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas. The collection is out now via Fearless Records. You can watch the video down below.
The video embraces frontwoman Taylor Momsen’s history as a child actor, specifically her role as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film “Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas.” The visual opens with archival footage of Jay Leno introducing a young Momsen on “The Tonight Show,” establishing a “full circle” theme.
Throughout the clip, the modern-day Momsen interacts with her younger self on screen, eventually breaking into a heavier, rock-driven arrangement of the holiday ballad. The performance takes place on a festively decorated stage, bridging the gap between her cinematic past and her current status as a rock chart-topper.
The video also incorporates other tracks from the EP. A segment featuring “When We Were Young” serves as a transition before Momsen concludes with “Christmas, Why Can’t I Find You?“. For the finale, the singer dons a red Christian Siriano dress to deliver the song’s closing notes, marking the first time she has performed that specific outro in 25 years.
This release caps off a high-profile month for Momsen. She recently performed the single at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and joined Soundgarden for a tribute performance at the 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. During the latter event, she reunited with her former “Grinch” co-star, Jim Carrey.
The Pretty Reckless continues to hold a dominant position in the genre, holding the record as the first female-fronted band to achieve eight No. 1 singles on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock chart. Their recent track “For I Am Death” also reached the top spot on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
