The Pretty Reckless Return With Fifth Album ‘Dear God’, Debut New Song ‘When I Wake Up’

The Pretty Reckless 2025

The Pretty Reckless are back, and they’re starting 2026 with a bang. The platinum-selling rock band has announced their fifth studio album, Dear God, along with a new single, “When I Wake Up”, and a massive world tour. Fans can stream the single now via Fearless Records.

The upcoming album promises one of the band’s most unfiltered and intense records yet. According to the group, Dear God embraces raw emotion, vulnerability, and artistic freedom, fueled by diaristic songwriting that dives deep into the band’s creative core.

The new single “When I Wake Up” leans into a punk-infused energy, pairing high-octane guitar riffs with Taylor Momsen’s signature powerhouse vocals. On the track and the record, Momsen shares: “‘When I Wake Up’ is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…”

Fans will also recognize “For I Am Death” on the album, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart last November. That milestone marked the band’s fourth consecutive No. 1 single and their second time achieving this impressive streak.

To bring Dear God to life on stage, The Pretty Reckless will embark on a globe-spanning headlining tour. Kicking off in North America this July, the band will hit cities including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Nashville before heading to Europe in November and December. This tour follows their epic two-year run supporting AC/DC on the “Power Up” world trek.

Tickets go on presale via the artist fan club starting Tuesday, March 17 at 10 a.m. local time, with general public sales beginning Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP experiences, in partnership with Sound Rink, range from Early Entry packages—including signed foil posters, exclusive merchandise, and early venue access—to Ultimate VIP packages that also feature a signed Fender Squier guitar and setlist.
