Mongolian folk metal trailblazers The Hu have unveiled a music video for their new single “Echoes Of My Father“, another taste of their upcoming third studio album Hun, due Friday, July 24 via Better Noise Music. The gold-certified quartet leaned into deeply personal territory for this one, turning the spotlight on the men who shaped them and on their own journeys as fathers.
The band explained the meaning behind the track in a collective statement: “‘Echoes of My Father‘ is a special song – the first half is dedicated to our Fathers and the second to our experience as fathers ourselves. We have honored women and mothers in our past albums, and now we are taking a moment to recognize the men who have made us who we are, and how we hope to have a positive impact with the eternal love we have for our children.”
The song’s video, fittingly, centers on the bond between fathers and their children. “Echoes Of My Father” joins a growing run of previews from Hun, the follow-up to 2022’s Rumble Of Thunder, that already includes “Warrior Chant“, “The Men“, “The Real You”, “Grey Hun” and the collaboration “Lost Soul“, which features Nothing More frontman Jonny Hawkins. Notably, that Hawkins-featuring version of “Lost Soul” will appear only on the digital edition of the album.
Hun arrives digitally and on CD worldwide on July 24, with vinyl editions and box-set variants following on September 11.

On the live front, The Hu are staying busy through the rest of the year. This summer they’ll crisscross the U.S. as an opener on Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson‘s “Freaks On Parade” tour, with Orgy also on the bill. From there, the band heads to the U.K. and Europe in the fall for a headline run with Skáld.
