The Dead Daisies have announced a special one-night-only event set to take place on May 30, 2026 at the legendary Arcada Theatre in the Chicago area. The exclusive show will feature Glenn Hughes handling both vocals and bass for the evening.
For this rare performance, Hughes will team up with guitarist Doug Aldrich, drummer Tommy Clufetos and guitarist David Lowy. The band plans to deliver a unique 50/50 split set, opening the night with 10 of The Dead Daisies’ favorite songs before shifting into 10 classic tracks from Hughes’s time with Deep Purple.
Hughes’s electrifying performances of the Deep Purple catalog have brought audiences to their feet worldwide, and paired with the raw energy and firepower of The Dead Daisies, this unique event promises an unforgettable night for both devoted fans and the wider classic rock community.
Tickets for the May 30 concert will go on sale Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. CST and will be available through the venue’s official ticketing page.
Hughes previously spent four years as a member of The Dead Daisies before exiting the group in May 2023. Following his departure, the band welcomed back former frontman John Corabi. Corabi originally joined The Dead Daisies in 2015 and remained with the band for four years before stepping aside to make way for Hughes, marking his second stint with the group.
The May 30 show comes after Hughes recently canceled his Spring 2026 U.S. tour due to a “minor health issue.” The planned run, which was to feature his “The Chosen Years” show from March 27 in San Juan Capistrano, California to May 10 in Tempe, Arizona, was postponed to allow the 74-year-old musician to focus on his well-being. Hughes addressed fans in a statement: “I’m taking advice from my medical team, who I am working closely with. Hoping to see you on the road of happy destiny.”
