Bay Area thrash icons Testament and Florida death metal pioneers Obituary have officially announced a massive co-headline European tour dubbed “Thrash of the Titans.” The powerhouse package is set to storm the Europe throughout October 2025.
Following a packed 2024 summer festival schedule and a successful run supporting Kreator and Anthrax late last year, Testament are bringing the heavy back to Europe. Joining them and Obituary on this monstrous tour are legendary German thrashers Destruction and the potent black/death metal force Goatwhore from New Orleans, promising an unforgettable night of extreme music.
Testament guitarist Eric Peterson shared his excitement about the upcoming trek:
“Alright! We are super excited to announce the beginning of our Thrash of the Titans campaign event! Coming to Europe this October with co-headliners Obituary and very special guests Destruction & Goatwhore! We will have a special deep cut set along with classics and of course some new songs! Obituary will be doing a special set as well doing their classic “cause of death” material and Destruction also will have new record out as well! Looking fwd to see you all again out there! Long live Thrash! Long live metal!”
The tour announcement comes as both headliners are celebrating significant milestones. Obituary is currently marking the 35th anniversary of their seminal album Cause of Death on a North American tour, aligning with Peterson‘s mention of them performing material from that era. Meanwhile, Testament is gearing up for a special “An Evening With Testament” US tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of their own classic album, Practice What You Preach.
Tickets for the “Thrash of the Titans” European tour go on sale this Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, at 10:00 AM CET.
