The highly anticipated, long-lost album recorded by members of Slipknot, titled Look Outside Your Window, may finally have a widespread public release date.

While it was previously confirmed that a highly limited batch of vinyl copies would be available for the upcoming Record Store Day later this month, fans were left wondering if the music would ever see a proper, large-scale release. Now, new online evidence suggests a wider rollout is indeed on the horizon.

An eagle-eyed fan on Reddit recently uncovered a hidden listing for the album on the Record Store Day online market. According to the leaked page, the project is scheduled for a wider release on Friday, June 12, at 8:00 AM. Currently, the listing only displays CD and vinyl physical formats, leaving it unconfirmed whether the notoriously elusive tracks will eventually make their way to major digital streaming platforms.

Additionally, the online market listing features a “Go Live” date set for Tuesday, May 19. This suggests that fans can likely expect official pre-orders and further concrete details to launch on that day.

Before the wider release potentially drops in June, diehard collectors will have their first chance to snag the music during Record Store Day on April 18. A strict, limited run of just 2,300 vinyl copies will be available at participating independent record stores.

Notably, the physical project is officially self-titled as Look Outside Your Window and will not carry the official Slipknot moniker, honoring its long-standing status as a unique, experimental side venture rather than a mainline studio album from the masked heavy metal titans.

The project was created by four members of Slipknot who split off during the All Hope Is Gone sessions: vocalist Corey Taylor, guitarist Jim Root, percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan, and turntablist Sid Wilson.

Discussing the project as a group, the four musicians explained:

“We knew we were heading down a different creative path, entirely apart from Slipknot, and we followed it eagerly. We called the project Look Outside Your Window as a tribute to this experimental spirit.”

“Created during a chaotic time in our shared history, the songs were born late at night, in a house on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Peering out through a big picture window, we wondered about what, or who, might be lurking outside. That sense of the unknown seeped into the music itself. There were no rules; ideas could come from anywhere: subtle drum loops, bits of organ or abstract guitar noise, even samples of frogs or crickets. Guided by emotion and instinct, we let the sounds themselves point the way.”
