Following several months of speculation and studio sightings, Limp Bizkit may finally be teasing new music. The band’s iconic frontman, Fred Durst, recently revealed a new track during a livestream, fueling anticipation for what could be the next chapter for the nu-metal legends.
Durst, who has been publicly exploring his interests outside of music with a UFO-themed podcast, dropped the bombshell announcement casually during a chat. He revealed he had recorded ten episodes of the podcast that he is “currently sitting on,” before making the surprise announcement about the band’s new song. According to Durst, the song is titled “Making Love To Morgan Wallen.”
This news follows a trend of the band sharing hints about new material over the past year, with multiple photos of the members in the studio. Now, a tantalizing glimpse of the song has seemingly appeared. A playthrough video from drummer Kristina Rybalchenko surfaced online, which purports to be a “leak” of the new track. The video also features a brief cameo from Durst himself, seemingly confirming the authenticity of the clip. The description of the video is: “When you leak a new @limpbizkit song and get busted by @freddurst.”
This would mark a relatively quick turnaround for the band, who kept fans waiting for a full decade between their 2011 album, Gold Cobra, and 2021’s Still Sucks. The band has spent the past few years touring internationally, and with this new music on the horizon, it may signal the start of a new, busy era for the multi-platinum act.
