In a clear sign of the massive, pent-up demand for their first European tour in nine years, System Of A Down has added a second London date to their 2026 run after the first show sold out almost instantly. The addition of a second performance at the massive Tottenham Hotspur Stadium underscores the incredible anticipation for the legendary band’s long-awaited return to the continent.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, September 16, confirms that the Armenian-American rock icons will now play a second London show on July 15, 2026, two days after their originally scheduled, now sold-out performance on July 13. A pre-sale for the new date is scheduled to begin tomorrow, September 17.
The tour marks the band’s first full-scale European trek since 2017 and features a powerhouse support bill of Queens Of The Stone Age and the shockingly reunited sludge metal legends, Acid Bath.
The nearly decade-long absence from European stages was largely due to frontman Serj Tankian’s past health issues and the band’s collective decision to move away from the grueling nature of traditional, long-form touring.
“For years, personally, I didn’t wanna tour at all,” Tankian explained in a recent interview. “I had back surgery. I had a lot of issues, so I was not, health-wise, in a place where I could travel a lot. And the idea of the groundhog, the idea of repetition also artistically got to me in terms of continuous long touring.” The band has since embraced a model of playing fewer, larger “event” style shows.
The immediate sell-out and addition of a second stadium date is the strongest possible indicator of the excitement surrounding the band’s return. For a generation of European fans, the summer of 2026 is shaping up to be an unmissable opportunity to witness one of modern rock’s most elusive and beloved bands.
