As they tear through stages on their current “Machines Vs Monsters Tour 2025” alongside Gwar, industrial metal pioneers Static-X are simultaneously celebrating the formidable success of their debut single, “Push It.” Hailing from their seminal Wisconsin Death Trip album, the track was certified Gold by the RIAA in the United States over a year ago, and the band’s sights are now firmly set on achieving Platinum status.

This ambitious push for platinum was recently amplified by the band’s AI mouthpiece, X-Bot, who confirmed in a news broadcast uploaded to Static-X‘s YouTube channel that “It’s going platinum.” The animated messenger issued a playful, yet firm, call to action, urging fans to continue streaming the song or face the consequence of “a shovel to the face.”

Static-X bassist Tony Campos expressed profound appreciation for the band’s dedicated fanbase and the enduring popularity of the track. “It’s crazy how far this band has come in 25 years,” Campos stated. “Our fans are so incredible, and the streaming numbers are so consistent. At this point, the world would have to end for ‘Push It’ not to go platinum.”

In tandem with this renewed momentum, Warner Records has reissued the classic music video for “Push It” in stunning High Definition. Directed by Mick Olszewski, the video’s distinctive clay animation style captivated audiences upon its 1999 release, notably gaining early support from MTV and playing a crucial role in launching the band to mass recognition. Now, fans can experience the unforgettable visual in unprecedented clarity, adding to the staggering 33 million views the video has accumulated since its 2009 online publication.

The current Static-X lineup, featuring original Wisconsin Death Trip members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, and Ken Jay, alongside current vocalist/guitarist Xer0, continues to deliver their signature “Evil Disco extravaganza” to sold-out rooms globally. Beyond their ongoing “Machines Vs Monsters Tour,” the band has an incredibly busy schedule through 2025.

Static-X is set for major festival appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock. They will also serve as direct support for Mudvayne on their “LD 50 – 25th Anniversary Tour” throughout September and October. Within this larger tour, Static-X has carved out six special headline shows, where they will be joined by Dope. These exclusive headline dates include stops in Green Bay, WI (September 12), Detroit, MI (September 18), Missoula, MT (October 02), Hidalgo, TX (October 10), Memphis, TN (October 17), and Baltimore, MD (October 23).

Drummer Ken Jay shared the band’s enthusiasm for the upcoming run with Mudvayne, stating: “We are so excited to be part of the LD 50 – 25th Anniversary Tour with Mudvayne & Vended. This is gonna be such an incredible run of shows and a heck of a way to cap off this year.”
