Courtney LaPlante Megan Thee Stallion 2025

Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante and rap superstar Megan Thee Stallion shared the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13th for the first live performance of their collaborative track “TYG“. You can watch the clip down below.

This unexpected pairing follows their previous collaborations, including Spiritbox‘s remix of Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Cobra” in 2023 and “TYG“, which features production by Spiritbox guitarist Mike Stringer and is part of Megan Thee Stallion‘s latest album, Megan: Act II, released last fall.

Megan Thee Stallion surprised the metal scene with the release of “TYG” in 2024, featuring LaPlante. Their live debut of the song at Coachella marked a significant moment, showcasing a blend of metal and rap to a large audience. The performance included energetic choreography, pyrotechnics, and unique Bigfoot-like dancers.

LaPlante‘s appearance at Coachella was a surprise, fitting into a break in Spiritbox‘s current North American tour with Loathe, Dying Wish, and Gel. She flew to Indio, California, directly after Spiritbox‘s show in Pittsburgh on April 12th and returned immediately to make their next scheduled performance in Philadelphia today (April 14th). Spiritbox‘s tour continues through May 10th, with dates across the US and Canada.
