The newly reunited Spineshank is hitting the road this spring for a massive throwback run dubbed the “Nu Metal Sucks Tour.” They will be joined by fellow genre heavyweights (Hed) P.E. and Primer 55 for a trek that is entirely dedicated to classic year-2000 heavy music.
This upcoming run will serve as the final set of shows celebrating the 25th anniversary of Spineshank‘s breakout sophomore record, The Height Of Callousness.
The nostalgia extends to the rest of the bill as well. (Hed) P.E. is set to perform their year-2000 sophomore album, Broke, from front to back. Meanwhile, Primer 55 will play their 2000 debut, Introduction To Mayhem, in its entirety. Depending on the city, additional opening support will be provided by Kissing Candice, Tidals, Oceans On Other Planets, and Carbonstone.
Fans looking to catch the show can grab their tickets when the general sale begins tomorrow, Friday, February 20, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Hyping up the announcement, Spineshank issued the following statement:
“Excited to announce we will be heading out on the ‘Nu Metal Sucks Tour’ in April, for our final dates on ‘The Height Of Callousness’ 25th-anniversary tour, with our friends (Hed) P.E. (performing Broke in its entirety),and Primer 55 (playing their classic Introduction To Mayhem)!!! It is guaranteed to be a banger, so break out the JNCOs and let’s party like it’s 2001!!!”
