Stanley Simmons, the duo made up of Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, sons of Kiss icons Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, respectively, have unveiled their fifth single, “Don’t Leave Me Here Like That“, along with an official music video directed by Jack Hackett.
The track comes off the pair’s debut album, Dancing While The World Is Ending, set for release on August 28. It follows four earlier previews from the 12-song record: “Body Down“, the title cut “Dancing While The World Is Ending“, “Temporary Love” and “Cellophane” — a run of songs that has made clear the duo is chasing a rootsy, folk-leaning sound a world away from the arena hard rock that made their fathers famous.

The project came together almost by accident. Although Evan and Nick had been close since childhood, both raised on the road by their fathers, making music together was never part of the plan. That shifted in December 2024, when a spur-of-the-moment Instagram reel put them in front of microphones together for the first time.
“We were shocked,” the pair recalled. “The chemistry was instant. The way our voices locked together… it was undeniable.”
The one-off quickly turned into something more. By February 2025, Evan and Nick sat down to write together, again just for fun, and the spark held. Stanley Simmons was born, and the two soon realized they’d landed on the kind of expressive, organic project each had quietly always wanted to make. Early bedroom demos found their way to veteran producer Rob Cavallo, whose credits include Green Day, Fleetwood Mac, Paramore, My Chemical Romance and Dave Matthews, who signed on to produce the debut and also took over as the duo’s manager.
The elder Stanley has been an enthusiastic backer of what his son and Simmons have built. Earlier in May, the Kiss legend fired back at the fan who said the group “hasn’t paid their dues.” “
You clearly don’t want to accept that your own lack of talent is the reason you continue to fail at everything. If your father was famous you would still get nowhere because you are too busy looking enviously at others instead of looking at yourself and realizing the obvious,” he wrote at the time.
On the live front, Stanley Simmons made their concert debut on May 4 at the House Of Blues Voodoo Room in San Diego. The duo’s first-ever U.S. tour opens September 14 – Three Links Deep Ellum, Dallas, Texas and wraps November 3 – Troubadour, West Hollywood, California, taking the pair through markets across the South, East Coast, Midwest and West Coast over the course of the nearly two-month run.
