However, excitement quickly turned to disappointment as the ultra-limited Blood Filled Box Set — capped at just 100 copies worldwide — vanished almost immediately after release.
For weeks, the band teased fans with a cryptic countdown on the website 742617000027.net, which was set to expire on July 21 at 3 PM ET / 12 PM PT. Anticipation was high that a deluxe anniversary edition would be revealed. But when the countdown ended, many eager fans were met with frustrating technical issues and server errors, making the launch far from smooth.
Once the glitches were resolved, Slipknot officially unveiled the box set, priced at $249.99, packed with an impressive 59 tracks spread over six colored vinyl LPs. The collection features over 40 previously unheard songs, including Indigo Ranch demos, alternate mixes, and rare live performances from 1999 and 2000. The package also contains nine exclusive photo cards filled with unseen images of the band.
Unsurprisingly, the entire run of 100 copies sold out within minutes, leaving many fans frustrated and feeling left out. Reddit fans buzzed with disappointed comments such as:
