Following a year of significant commercial success and critical recognition, Sleep Token has released the instrumental edition of their latest album, Even In Arcadia. The release serves as a commemoration of the record’s first anniversary.
Originally debuted on May 9, 2025, through RCA Records, Even In Arcadia reached the No. 1 position on the U.S. Billboard 200. The album remained on the charts for 36 consecutive weeks, establishing Sleep Token as a major presence in contemporary music. As of early 2026, the project has surpassed 1.2 billion global streams, with over 735 million generated in the United States alone. On January 26, 2026, the album was officially certified gold by the RIAA.
The new instrumental version allows fans to focus on the technical details and musical arrangements of the tracks. This edition highlights the “depth, precision, and emotional architecture” that define the group’s specific sound. Listeners can now hear the complex compositions without vocals, from the cinematic builds to the heavy rhythmic shifts.
The success of Even In Arcadia also led to the band’s first honors from the Recording Academy. At the 68th Grammy Awards, Sleep Token received nominations for “Best Metal Performance” for the song “Emergence” and “Best Rock Song” for “Caramel“. Furthermore, the group’s drummer, II, earned his first Grammy for his featured performance on the Yungblud track “Changes (Live From Villa Park)“.
Music critics have consistently praised the record as a genre-defying work. Reviews have described the material as having a “ghostly beauty and arpeggiated madness,” while others labeled the musical performances as “jaw-dropping.” The album cycle was further supported by the band’s first headlining arena tour in the United States, which sold out entirely.
Formed in London in 2016, Sleep Token is known for maintaining strict anonymity, with members appearing in masks and cloaks. Despite the group’s secretive nature, singer and multi-instrumentalist Vessel and drummer II are the only two members credited with writing and performing on the band’s four studio albums to date. With the release of Even In Arcadia (Instrumental), the band continues to highlight their musicianship and innovative approach to heavy music.
