Slayer are once again dipping into their legendary catalog, announcing two exclusive U.S. headlining shows centered around the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking album Reign In Blood. The performances will see the band deliver the record in full — something rarely done — giving fans a chance to experience one of thrash metal’s most influential releases front to back.
The dates are limited to just two cities:
September 04 – Shakopee, MN – Mystic Lake Amphitheater
November 13 – Inglewood, CA – Kia Forum
According to the band, these will be the only U.S. shows where Reign In Blood is performed in its entirety, making them standout events compared to Slayer’s other festival appearances, which will feature different setlists.
Both nights come with strong supporting lineups. The Minnesota date will include Down, Suicidal Tendencies and Hatebreed. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles show will feature Cannibal Corpse, Cavalera and Crowbar.
Tickets will roll out in phases, starting with a Citi presale on April 21 at 12 p.m. local time. The artist presale follows on April 22 at 10 a.m. local time using the password RIB2026, while general sales begin April 24 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP experiences and curated travel packages will also be offered, with full details available via slayer.net.
The announcement adds another chapter to Slayer’s unexpected return. The band originally wrapped up their farewell tour and played their final show in November 2019, closing the book on a decades-long career. However, in 2024, they surprised fans by reuniting for select live appearances, choosing quality over quantity with a limited number of high-profile performances.
Since reuniting, Slayer have taken a carefully curated approach to the stage. In 2025, they made waves with appearances at major events across North America and Europe, including a stop at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania — their only U.S. East Coast show that year — along with festival sets at Louder Than Life and international dates in the U.K. and Canada.
They also took part in a historic moment for heavy metal, performing at Back To The Beginning — the farewell concert for Black Sabbath — held at Villa Park in Birmingham in July 2025.
