Slayer To Announce Philadelphia Concert

Indications point to a potential upcoming Slayer show in Philadelphia. A video recently posted by the band and Live Nation Philadelphia included an animated Hershey’s Kisses reference, hinting at a local performance. Check out the video below.

SLAYER, who were already scheduled to be in the UK for Black Sabbath‘s “Back To The Beginning” final performances in July (an announcement from last month), have expanded their trip with two new headlining shows. Joining them with strong support are Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed, And Neckbreakker at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on July 3rd and London’s Finsbury Park on July 6th.

SLAYER‘s announced dates for 2025 so far are as follows:

Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed and Neckbreakker:

July 3, 2025 – Cardiff, UK – Blackweir Fields
July 6, 2025 – London, UK – Finsbury Park

With Black Sabbath:

July 5, 2025 – Birmingham, UK – Villa Park

North America festival dates:

July 11, 2025 – Quebec City, QC – Festival d’été de Québec
September 18, 2025 – Louisville, KY – Louder Than Life Festival

In an interview with Metal Injection last year, Slayer guitarist Kerry King mentioned that he isn’t ruling out the possibility of additional Slayer performances beyond the three previously announced festival appearances.

“I’m trying to be real and definitely say, hey, we’re not gonna tour again,” he said. “And we’re certainly not gonna record again, ’cause I have a means of doing that now with my band. [We’re doing] three shows for now. And I say ‘for now’ because I know Europe’s gonna come knocking, ‘Hey, man, you guys played America. Come see us.’ So it wouldn’t surprise me if something like that happened, but it’s certainly not on my books right now.”
