Due to overwhelming ticket demand, California thrash metal veterans Slayer have announced a second Los Angeles performance celebrating the 40th anniversary of their landmark album, Reign In Blood. The newly added concert will take place on November 14, 2026, at the Kia Forum.
The decision follows the rapid sell-out of their initial November 13 date at the same venue during the artist and Citi presale windows. General ticket sales for the newly added Los Angeles date will begin on Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. PDT. These two Kia Forum dates will mark the band’s first hometown Los Angeles shows in seven years.
In addition to the California dates, Slayer will perform the 40th-anniversary set on September 04 at the Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, with general tickets going on sale April 24 at 10 a.m. CDT. These three concerts represent the exclusive U.S. headlining dates where Reign In Blood will be performed in its entirety. The band’s scheduled festival appearances throughout the year will feature standard mixed setlists.
Support for the Shakopee performance will be provided by Down, Suicidal Tendencies, and Hatebreed. Meanwhile, the opening acts for the first Los Angeles show will feature Cannibal Corpse, Cavalera, and Crowbar.
The active touring lineup consists of bassist and vocalist Tom Araya, guitarists Kerry King and Gary Holt, and drummer Paul Bostaph. This lineup has remained consistent through the group’s final 2019 tour and their subsequent reunion performances in 2024 and 2025.
Slayer‘s recent live history included highly selective appearances in 2025. The group played their sole U.S. East Coast date on September 20 at Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania, two days after a set at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky on September 18. Those performances followed massive international stops at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields, London’s Finsbury Park, and Canada’s Festival D’été De Québec. The band also made a special appearance performing a six-song set during Black Sabbath‘s final concert in Birmingham, England on July 05, 2025.
Originally released on October 07, 1986, via Def Jam Recordings, Reign In Blood marked the band’s first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. Widely regarded as a definitive breakthrough in speed and thrash metal, the record was the group’s first to enter the Billboard 200 chart and officially achieved RIAA gold certification on November 20, 1992.
