Shinedown‘s latest single, “Three Six Five,” has reached No. 1 on the Alternative Radio chart. This marks a significant achievement for the song, which is currently charting across four formats: No. 1 at Alternative, No. 11 at Hot AC, No. 32 at Top 40, and Top 20 at Mainstream AC. This multi-format success follows a similar feat accomplished by their previous hit, “A Symptom of Being Human.”

Three Six Five” delves into themes of loss and the importance of cherishing present moments. The song encourages listeners to live fully for those no longer with us and to value the time we have. Shinedown frontman Brent Smith sings in the track: “Even though I said all the things that mattered most, while I held on tight to the end of the rope, I could keep you close, but I couldn’t keep you here, a lot can happen in a year.”

Earlier this spring, Shinedown launched their “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour, a 36-date run that includes performances at some of the country’s most iconic venues for the first time as headliners, such as Madison Square Garden (July 20), Boston’s TD Garden (July 19), and Los Angeles’s Kia Forum (August 3). They are joined on tour by Beartooth and Bush on select dates, with Morgan Wade supporting all shows.

The band recently released the official music video for their No. 1 song, “Dance, Kid, Dance.” The video was directed by Lewis Cater, choreographed by Julissa Bond, and edited by Samuel Halleen.

Shinedown has had a remarkable 2025, including two wins at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for “Rock Artist Of The Year” and “Rock Song Of The Year” for “A Symptom Of Being Human.” This award-winning track has garnered nearly 125 million global streams and charted across five radio formats, notably reaching No. 1 at Active Rock, Top 10 at Alternative, Top 10 at AC, Top 15 at Hot AC, and Top 20 at Top 40. Shinedown stands as the first artist to achieve a Top 10 hit at Active, Alternative, and Hot AC Radio on Mediabase with a single song, thanks to “A Symptom Of Being Human’s” unifying message about human connection.

Their latest single, “Dance, Kid, Dance,” also made history by reaching No. 1 on both the Mediabase Active Rock chart and the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, marking their 22nd song to top the latter. This achievement makes Shinedown the only band in the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart’s history to have 20 No. 1s. Additionally, when “Dance, Kid, Dance” entered the Top 5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, Shinedown tied with the Foo Fighters for the most songs to hit the Top 10 in the chart’s history, with 32 songs each. On Mediabase, Shinedown holds records for the most No. 1s, No. 5s, and No. 10s on the Active Rock chart, totaling 24 No. 1s on Mediabase charts.

Three Six Five” was co-written by Brent Smith and Eric Bass, while “Dance, Kid, Dance” was a collaboration between Brent Smith, Eric Bass, and Dave Bassett. Both songs were produced by Eric Bass at his Big Animal Studio in Charleston, South Carolina.
