A Seether concert at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Thursday, May 29, took a volatile turn when frontman Shaun Morgan stopped the show to launch a tirade against venue security for removing his 7-year-old daughter from the side of the stage. The singer then channeled his fury into the band’s final song, rewriting the lyrics to their hit “Remedy” as a direct attack on the staff member involved. You can watch the video below.
The incident occurred just before the band was set to close their set. After a brief pause, Morgan returned to the microphone to address the crowd, visibly enraged by what had transpired.
“Hey, sorry, that took a little while. I had my f**cking kid on the side of the stage the whole entire show, and then suddenly this f**king a**hole kicks her the f**ck off the stage,” Morgan explained to the audience, who responded with a roar of boos. “She’s seven-years-old, and now she can’t even go in the front of f**cking house and watch the show? Man, f**ck you. What the f**ck is wrong with people? She’s a f**cking child, and you just kicked her off the f**king stage her dad’s playing.”
As his bandmates signaled a thumbs down in solidarity, Morgan continued his verbal assault, adding: “I hope your d**k is super f**king huge bro,” before telling the crowd: “I’ll finish this song for you guys, f**k this place!”
The band then launched into their multi-platinum hit “Remedy”, from the album Karma and Effect, but Morgan was far from finished. He transformed the song into a diss track, altering the lyrics to reflect his anger at the situation. The revised lyrics included lines such as, “Blah, blah-blady-blah, some f**king rules that kick the kids out / Doing no f**king harm, just watching Daddy play a rock show / I’m a little man, with a tiny d**k, and I have control”.
After concluding the song, Morgan thanked the crowd but reiterated his anger toward the venue’s security before leaving the stage. While The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa does allow children on the resort property, age restrictions typically limit patrons on the gaming floor to those over 21, and concert age policies can vary by event.
