In their first return to “The Osbournes Podcast” since the passing of patriarch Ozzy Osbourne in July, the Osbourne family dedicated a segment to launching a furious counter-attack against Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters.
The family’s contempt stems from disparaging remarks Waters made in August following Ozzy’s death. While the rock community largely shared tributes, Waters told the YouTube channel “The Independent Ink” that he was entirely dismissive of the metal legend’s career.
“Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever state that he was in his whole life. We’ll never know. Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a f**k,” Waters said at the time. He added: “I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. Have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”
On their new podcast episode, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne did not hold back in their response to Waters’ comments. Sharon initiated the topic by referring to Waters as “probably one of the most sick individuals I’ve come across in years.”
When Jack clarified: “Oh, you talking about my mate Roger?” Kelly offered the bluntest assessment: “He’s a fu**ing c**t.”
Sharon immediately argued against the term, replying: “He isn’t, ’cause c**ts are good. … He has no charisma. He looks like Frankenstein.”
Kelly expanded on the family’s disgust, criticizing Waters’ demeanor: “And he thinks he so superior to everybody. And his superiority complex is just so repulsive.”
Sharon continued the barrage, questioning Waters’ place in the modern world and his relationship with his former bandmates.
“The guy is sick in the head,” Sharon said. “He is not relevant in today’s world. Nobody likes him. It’s not just us. Nobody likes this man. … unless you’re a fas*ist,” to which Kelly retorted: “I don’t even think the fas*ists like him.”
Sharon also contrasted Waters with his former bandmate, David Gilmour. “I don’t know how those guys in Pink Floyd put up with them as long as they did… David [Gilmour] is the most gracious, warm person you could ever meet.”
When discussing Waters’ possible motivation for the attack, Sharon suggested his anti-Israel stance played a role: “Do you know why he did it? He did it because he knows I’m half-Jewish.” Her children, however, seemed to disagree, with Kelly offering a simpler explanation: Waters is just a “piece of fu**in’ s**t.”
Sharon concluded her thoughts on Waters with a scathing summary: “a sad, irrelevant, old, miserable human being — a miserable ugly human being.”
