In the first new episode of “The Osbournes Podcast” since the July 22 passing of Ozzy Osbourne, the Osbourne family revealed the bizarre and “vulturistic” behavior they have endured from the public, including one woman who sent biological samples in an attempt to prove she was Ozzy‘s secret child.
The family, including Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne, gathered to discuss their grief and the strange aftermath of Ozzy‘s death. Kelly noted that the family has had to field messages from unstable individuals.
“We’ve had quite a few nutters coming out of the woodwork saying that they’re speaking to dad from the grave,” Kelly said.
Sharon then shared the most macabre example, stating: “We had one lady send us her toenails.”
Kelly elaborated on the disturbing package, explaining the woman’s motivation: “It was a toenail, some blood, hair, because she’s absolutely convinced that she is dad’s child.”
“Do we need to do a DNA test?” Jack asked jokingly, adding: “Oh this is so exciting. We have a new sibling!”
The Black Sabbath icon, who passed away at 76, had six known children. He shared Jessica and Louis with his first wife, Thelma Riley (also adopting her son Elliot), and Aimee, Kelly, and Jack with Sharon.
The podcast episode also saw the family detail the “domino effect” of health issues that led to Ozzy‘s decline. Sharon and Jack explained that the downturn began with a fall Ozzy suffered in December 2024, which he initially hid from the family.
“It was the first week of December and he wasn’t feeling great and he took a little fall and he kept saying my back hurts…” Sharon recalled.
Jack added: “…being the gentleman he was, he didn’t tell anyone he took a fall and it turned out he had a fracture in his back, in his vertebrae.”
Sharon explained that given Ozzy‘s age and medical state, a “miracle” would have been required for the fracture to heal on its own. The injury quickly led to cascading complications.
“It started a bit of a domino effect,” Sharon agreed. “He was in so much pain he had to go into hospital… and then he got pneumonia and that’s happened to him three times in the past year. So with the pneumonia and his vertebrae he was just so uncomfortable.”
