Alternative metal veterans Sevendust and multi-platinum hard rockers Theory Of A Deadman are hitting the road together later this year. The two powerhouse groups will co-headline “The Dead / Seven Tour,” a massive summer and fall U.S. trek that organizers are describing as over two decades in the making. Emerging grunge rock outfit Return To Dust has been tapped to serve as the opening act.
Reflecting on the extensive history and friendship between the two headlining bands, Theory Of A Deadman vocalist and guitarist Tyler Connolly shared his excitement for the upcoming run:
“We are beyond pumped to hit the road with one of the most beloved rock bands and friends Sevendust. Playing shows with them going back to 2002 man this tour is gonna crush! Cannot wait to play some new tracks and some old ones too. Excited for rockers Return to Dust to join us as well.”
Sevendust lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon echoed that enthusiasm, promising an unforgettable live experience for longtime fans of both groups:
“Man, hearing Tyler say that takes me back. We’ve been throwing down together for a long time, and it’s always been nothing but love and high energy. Theory of a Deadman always brings it, so we already know this tour is going to be something special. We’re beyond excited to get out there, share the stage again, and give the fans moments you can’t recreate anywhere else. Our friends in Return to Dust will be there too. Much respect to those guys, and we’re ready to crush this thing together.”
Fans looking to secure their tickets early can access the artist presale beginning Wednesday, May 6, at 10:00 a.m. local time. A promoter presale will follow on Thursday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The general public onsale will officially launch on Friday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
All three bands will have plenty of fresh material to showcase on the tour. Sevendust just dropped their fifteenth studio album, One, last week. Meanwhile, Theory Of A Deadman delivered their newest single, “Barricade“, late last month, and Return To Dust recently released an energetic cover of the Outkast smash hit “Hey Ya!” in April.
