Brazilian metal pioneers Sepultura have officially designated the endpoint for their touring career in Europe. As part of their ongoing “Celebrating Life Through Death” farewell trek, the band revealed today that their last-ever European concert will take place in Ireland next summer.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the 3Arena in Dublin, the show promises to be the largest Irish headline date in the band’s history. To ensure a proper send-off, Sepultura has curated a heavy-hitting support lineup featuring New York hardcore veterans Biohazard, UK metalcore unit Malevolence, thrash icons Sacred Reich, and fellow Brazilian death metallers Crypta.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, the band expressed their enthusiasm for the chosen location.
“Dublin! We couldn’t think of a better place to play our final ever European show than your beautiful city, and to be joined by our friends in Biohazard, Malevolence, Sacred Reich, and Crypta will make this an event not to be missed. See you next August!”
The farewell tour, which began following the band’s shock announcement in late 2023 that they would be disbanding, celebrates a 40-year legacy that fundamentally reshaped the global heavy music landscape. The current touring lineup features the addition of 23-year-old American drumming prodigy Greyson Nekrutman, who joined the fold for this final global lap.
Sepultura leaves behind a formidable discography spanning 15 studio albums. Their most recent effort, Quadra, proved they remained a vital force to the end, charting at No. 5 in Germany and racking up millions of streams. Historically, the band has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, earning gold and platinum certifications in territories as diverse as France, Australia, and Indonesia. Their magnum opus, Roots, continues to resonate with new generations, currently boasting over 225 million streams on Spotify.
