Septicflesh have booked a pair of their own shows into the gaps in an otherwise full autumn routing, playing Old Town, Maine on October 29 and Rock Island, Illinois on November 6.

Both fall on rest days from the “Wrath Across North America Tour“, on which the Greek symphonic death metal band are supporting.

“During the off days of our upcoming North American tour, we will be playing two special headlining shows,” the band wrote.

The Old Town date sits between Worcester on October 28 and Quebec City on October 30. Rock Island lands between Cleveland on November 5 and Minneapolis on November 7. Both are considerably smaller rooms than anything else on the itinerary.

Arch Enemy and The Black Dahlia Murder co-headline the run, which was announced in May, with Septicflesh, Crypta and Thrown Into Exile filling out the bill. It opens on October 5 at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium in California and finishes on November 16 at the Showbox in Seattle, taking in ten Canadian and US border-state dates through the back half.

Septicflesh were formed in Athens in 1990 by guitarist Sotiris Vayenas and brothers Spiros Antoniou, who sings and plays bass, and guitarist Christos Antoniou, and have been working with drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner since 2014. Their most recent album is Modern Primitive, released in 2022. A 15th anniversary vinyl pressing of The Great Mass was announced in January.
