In a recent interview with Harley Roxx of “Florida’s Rock It 100.5” radio station, Sebastian Bach was asked whether he is currently working on new material as a follow-up to his 2024 album Child Within The Man.
He replied: ”I’m starting to get that itch to do a new album. But the last one we did in the pandemic, and it was very easy to focus on it because there was no concerts or touring. It’s really hard for me to concentrate on making a new album when I’m playing every night. So I don’t know when this is gonna stop, but it’s not anytime soon.”
“I do enjoy [performing live], but I also really enjoy making records. So I enjoy both of them,” he added.
Following the cancellation of their 2026 reunion tour due to frontman Dee Snider‘s health issues, Twisted Sister has found a vocalist to temporarily step in. Guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda recently announced that former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach will front the legendary heavy metal outfit for a select run of shows this fall.
Sebastian Bach has recently revealed that he intends to step away from the heavy metal format for a future project, specifically citing a desire to record a traditional holiday album rooted in his childhood church experiences.
Speaking in an interview with “This Day In Metal,” the vocalist outlined his specific vision for the record. Rather than following the standard rock trope of adapting holiday standards for amplified instruments, Bach wants to revisit the hymns of his youth in Peterborough, Ontario.
“At some point in my life, I need to do a Christmas record,” Bach told at the time. “I love Christmas music, and I know exactly the kind of Christmas record I would make. It’s not gonna be ‘Jingle Bells‘ with electric guitars. It’s gonna be a traditional piano, organ-based record of vocals of songs that I did in the church when I was in Peterborough, Ontario at Anglican Church — All Saints, I think it was called. So that’s what I want. I need to do that at some point.”
