San Diego Padres closer Mason Miller introduced a heavy new soundtrack to his on-field appearances this week. During the team’s matchup against the Detroit Tigers on March 28, the relief pitcher walked out to the mound accompanied by “Blind“, the defining breakthrough single from nü-metal pioneers Korn. You can watch the footage down below.

Mason Miller began his Major League Baseball career in 2023 with the Oakland Athletics and quickly established himself as a dominant force in the bullpen, earning an All-Star selection in 2024.

The chosen entrance track originally served as the lead single for the two-time platinum 1994 self-titled debut album, Korn. The song holds a deep history within the genre. Frontman Jonathan Davis originally co-wrote the foundation of the track during his tenure with his previous group, Sexart.

Upon forming Korn, the band entirely reworked and expanded the composition for their debut record. The group incorporated an extended, tension-building introduction featuring layered cymbals and a subtle bassline. This iconic opening section was directly inspired by the drum pattern from the Primus track “Too Many Puppies“, setting the stage before the heavy arrangement fully kicks in.

Earlier this month, Korn have announced a large European headlining tour scheduled for autumn 2026, marking the band’s first full trek across the continent in more than a decade.

The 19-date run will begin on October 18 in Stuttgart, Germany and will see the band travel through multiple European countries before wrapping up on November 21 in Milan, Italy. Along the way, the tour will stop in France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, and several German cities.

Joining Korn on the tour will be Architects, along with support from Youth Code and Pixel Grip.
