Sabaton Plans Massive Two-Stage Production For Upcoming Tour

The Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton is preparing to embark on a new European tour with an ambitious production unlike anything they have attempted before. “The Legendary Tour,” scheduled for November and December, will support the band’s upcoming album, Legends, and feature an elaborate two-stage setup and a dedicated orchestra.

In an interview on the YouTube show “Coffee With Ola,” bassist and manager Pär Sundström hinted at the scale of the production, calling it a “very special kind of thing” built to complement the new album. Sundström confirmed that the tour will feature not one but two interconnected stages, marking a significant evolution from their previous, already theatrical, live shows.

“We’ve  got bigger stuff planned for the upcoming tour,” Pär said. “And it’s a very special kind of thing, so we have to build it around the Legends album. But I don’t wanna spoil too much. I think it will be exciting to see it. And we are also building a show that is a little bit more than just a rock show, so to say. So we have two stages and something that connects them.”

A major element of this tour is the addition of The Legendary Orchestra, a specially assembled act that will perform before Sabaton takes the stage. The orchestra will offer orchestral reinterpretations of the band’s classics, providing fans with a unique and different sonic experience. Sundström described the sound as “very powerful, very emotional, and it sounds, of course, completely different,” noting that the band would be unable to play all of the songs on their own.

The tour coincides with the October 17 release of Legends, the band’s eleventh studio album. The album is described as a “global journey through the annals of warfare, leadership and unbreakable will.” For the first time in the band’s history, all members contributed to the songwriting process, making the album a collective effort. The band promises that the tour will be a huge celebration of their music, storytelling, and the strong bond with their fans.
