Rush have expanded their return to the road with four additional U.S. arena performances, giving fans in Houston, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh the opportunity to see the legendary band during their “Fifty Something” tour.
The newly announced concerts will take place throughout October and November, bringing the total number of dates on the ambitious comeback run even higher.
The four additions are:
- October 1 – Houston, Texas – Toyota Center
- October 21 – St. Louis, Missouri – Enterprise Center
- October 23 – Cincinnati, Ohio – Heritage Bank Center
- November 15 – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – PPG Paints Arena
According to Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, the decision to add more shows came after the band realized that returning to the stage has been going better than they initially expected.
They said in a joint statement: “When we initially booked this tour, we didn’t know how well we would hold up to the rigors of the road — so we played it safe with lots of days off to recover — but life is nothing if not surprising and we’re doing fine and having a blast, so why not try to hit a few more of the cities that have always treated us so well.”
Fans won’t have to wait long to secure tickets. Tickets and VIP packages for the four new concerts will go on sale Friday, September 4 at 10 a.m. local time, while presales will begin Tuesday, September 1 at 10 a.m. local time.
Citi cardmembers will receive access to a special presale beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time and continuing until Thursday, September 3 at 10 p.m. local time through the Citi Entertainment program. Additional information about the presale is available through Citi Entertainment.
The additions come as Rush continue their first major tour in more than a decade. The “Fifty Something” trek officially began on June 7 in Los Angeles and represents the band’s first run of live shows since the passing of longtime drummer Neil Peart in 2020.
Lee and Lifeson are performing alongside a revamped touring lineup that includes drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. Nilles previously performed with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck, including his 2022 touring run, while Gold has been a touring musician for The Who and Chicago.
Lee and Lifeson first played publicly with Nilles at the Juno Awards in Hamilton, Ontario in late March, performing “Finding My Way” from the 1974 debut, the only Rush album Peart does not appear on. It was their first performance billed as Rush since 2015, though the pair had appeared under their own names at tributes to Gordon Lightfoot and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
