The sprawling, messy saga between Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke and Brittany Furlan has taken another surreal turn, now drawing in the ultimate authority on internet deception: Catfish host and producer Nev Schulman.
What began as a dispute over a 2025 catfishing incident—and recently escalated into allegations of stalking and burner accounts—has now erupted into a war of words between Radke and the reality TV star. After Schulman publicly weighed in on the drama, siding with Furlan and questioning Radke‘s character, the singer fired back with a venomous video response, accusing Schulman of fabricating conversations to monetize the scandal.
The drama intensified earlier this week when Schulman sat down with TMZ to offer his expert opinion on the situation. Schulman revealed that he has been tagged in social media posts about the feud since it began last year and decided to look into it after the recent flare-up.
While Schulman admitted he has not conducted a formal investigation—noting the difficulty of retrieving vanishing messages from Snapchat—he claimed to have personal connections to the key players. He stated he has known Furlan and Radke‘s ex-girlfriend, Saraya, for years and had recently spoken to both women.
Based on those conversations, Schulman made his stance clear.
“Most of the information obviously came from Brittany and I have to say… It seems to me that she much rather would’ve kept this whole thing private. The relationship she had with Ronnie, whether you believe it was really him or not, wasn’t something that she was looking to make public or talk about,” Schulman explained to TMZ.
When pressed on who he believed was telling the truth, Schulman admitted his bias was based on character assessments rather than hard digital forensics.
“I don’t know Ronnie personally, but from what I’ve heard from both of these women — and I’m inclined to believe the women — he may not be the most trustworthy, caring and truthful, honest guy,” Schulman confessed. “If I had to choose who’s telling the truth here and who’s more likely to be using this whole situation to benefit them, even if it means it comes at the cost of others, I’m inclined to side with Brittany.”
Schulman theorized that the original “catfish” likely started when a third party witnessed an online interaction between the two and created an account to impersonate Radke.
Radke, who has vehemently denied ever communicating with Furlan on Snapchat or creating fake accounts to troll her, wasted no time in responding. On Friday afternoon, he posted a video to the Falling in Reverse Instagram account, directly attacking Schulman‘s credibility and disputing his claims regarding Saraya.
“Nev Schulman, you’re literally lying,” Radke said at the beginning of the video. “[He’s] saying that he pretty much spoke to my ex-girlfriend Saraya regarding this whole thing and pretty much implied that I’m known for lying and I’m a liar because of what I’ve done to this person and that person.”
Radke claimed that he spoke to Saraya on the phone for an hour following the TMZ interview, and she allegedly denied ever speaking to Schulman about the matter. The singer accused the host of bias and attempting to exploit the situation for content.
“What happened to looking at the evidence? You don’t want to see the evidence? You’re so biased that you admitted to being friends with Brittany and you want to come on here and say I’m lying and say that my ex is saying that when it never happened? You’re a liar,” Radke asserted.
This latest blow-up follows a week of high tension. Furlan recently posted a series of Instagram Stories alleging that Radke was using a fake account (which has since been deleted) to harass her, her husband Tommy Lee, and Saraya.
“… Every time someone posts a video about me being ‘catfished’ I defend myself because I know the truth,” Furlan wrote in one of her posts. “He doesn’t like that I do that so he’s trying to shut me down even more. He knows the truth too. I’d like to move on with my life. I’d like to be left the f**k alone. Not hunted from burners and what not.”
In response to these claims, Radke revealed to TMZ earlier in the week that he is in the process of subpoenaing Snapchat to uncover the IP address of the impersonator. Interestingly, when asked during that initial interview if he would want Schulman‘s help, Radke had seemed open to the idea of uncovering the truth.
“I would be down for anybody that has any access to this account, that can get the IP, that can literally prove who this is,” the rocker responded at the time.
He also reiterated his plan to share any findings directly with Furlan‘s husband.
“If you’re out there and you know what you’re doing, let’s go… When the subpoena gets here, I’m gonna literally email all the metadata to Tommy Lee so he can go over it and he can look at it all. And you know what? If you find anything weird, post it.”
With Schulman now firmly in the crosshairs and Radke disputing the host’s sources, the search for the “metadata” continues while the public feud grows ever more personal.
This war of words comes on the heels of Radke attempting to file a temporary restraining order against Furlan in Los Angeles—a request the court denied, as reported by People.
