Rammstein Goes On Hiatus

Rammstein 2023

Rammstein fans have been dealt a blow with the news of a two-year hiatus from touring.

Guitarist Paul Landers broke the disheartening news to eager fans gathered outside the Gelsenkirchen arena last Saturday. While the wait for new live shows will undoubtedly be painful, Landers offered a glimmer of hope with the confirmation of an upcoming single, “Ramm4,” and the long-awaited documentary.

The band’s massive fanbase will undoubtedly be disappointed by the extended break, but the promise of fresh music and behind-the-scenes insights may soften the blow.

Rammstein‘s latest studio album, Zeit, was released in April 2022 by Universal Music. The album, produced by the band in collaboration with Olsen Involtini, was unplanned and came about because the band’s tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the band’s frontman, Till Lindemann, seems unaffected by the hiatus. He has a string of solo shows lined up across the US this September and October, promoting his debut solo album, Zunge, which came out in November 2023.
