Korn bassist Ra Díaz has been successfully reunited with 15 of his stolen bass guitars, thanks to the combined efforts of the Henderson Police Department in Nevada and a sharp-eyed fan.
The instruments were originally taken during a break-in at a Las Vegas-area storage unit approximately two weeks ago. The breakthrough in the case arrived when a fan visited a local music store and recognized distinct markings on one of the basses being sold—specifically, details dating back to the musician’s tenure with crossover thrash veterans Suicidal Tendencies.
Henderson Police property crimes detective Jameson Harding detailed how this tip rapidly accelerated their investigation.
“It definitely helped us early on to be able to get a couple of leads on recovering some of his property, probably a little bit quicker than we may have found them,” Harding stated (via theprp). “Because it’s people that he knows and some of his friends who know his stuff very well. So, I think it was pretty helpful with timing.”
One of the recovered instruments holds significant personal value for the bassist, who hails from Chile, particularly as Korn prepares to launch their upcoming South American tour.
“One that we recovered had a Chilean flag on it. And Mr. Díaz is from Chile. And so, they’re getting ready to tour there,” the detective explained regarding the instrument’s return.
“He was just super thankful that we found that guitar because he said his plan the whole time was to come back to Vegas for Sick New World, get that guitar and take it on tour with him. So, it was really cool to be able to give him that. It’s obviously part of his heritage. He wants to have that with him on this next leg of their tour. They hung out for a couple of minutes with us in the office, just going over his stuff. He just seems like such a super guy. Extremely nice, very friendly with our staff here. And he’s been super thankful.”
As of publication, no arrests have been made in connection with the burglary. The recovery occurred right around Korn‘s recent appearance in Las Vegas, where they performed at the 2026 Sick New World festival on April 25 alongside acts like System Of A Down.
