Phil Campbell Bastard Sons 2026

The sons of late Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell have announced a 12-date European tour for this summer. Performing under the name Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons, the group will hit the road to honor their father’s monumental legacy, with the trek including two major arena shows supporting heavy metal legends Judas Priest.

Phil Campbell and his solo band, Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, were originally scheduled to complete a touring cycle this year prior to the iconic musician’s passing in March. Now, his sons and bandmates, Dane, Todd, and Tyla, will proceed with the live dates. The upcoming shows will serve as a high-energy tribute focusing on their father’s historic, decades-long tenure with Motörhead.

The members of Phil Campbell’s Bastard Sons released a collective statement explaining their decision to move forward with the tour:

“We are heading back to the stage, fueled by a mission that goes beyond the music. Following the passing of our father, Phil Campbell, the band is moving forward with an unwavering sense of strength, heart, and purpose, ensuring that the rock and roll flame he ignited continues to roar.”

“What began as a raw, high-energy family project has now matured into a powerful symbol of both tribute and evolution.”

“In the wake of our loss, the band has received prestigious invitations from festivals and titans of the genre, including Judas Priest, to perform in our father’s honour.”

“Fans can expect a show that is exactly what our dad would have demanded: loud, honest, and uncompromising rock ‘n’ roll.”

Campbell joined Motörhead in 1984 and remained a central figure in the band until its conclusion in 2015 after the death of frontman Lemmy Kilmister. For the final 20 years of Motörhead’s existence, Campbell served as the sole guitarist, playing on legendary albums such as Orgasmatron1916, and Bastards.

Phil Campbell‘s passing was confirmed earlier in March by his family in a heartfelt post on the social media channels of his band Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, where he performed alongside his sons ToddDane, and Tyla.

The message from his family stated: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Philip Anthony Campbell, who passed away peacefully last night following a long and courageous battle in intensive care after a complex major operation.”

They continued: “Phil was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a proud and loving grandfather, known affectionately as ‘Bampi’. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be missed immensely. His legacy, music and the memories he created with so many will live on forever. We kindly ask that our family’s privacy is respected during this incredibly difficult time.”

Earlier this year, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons canceled a string of shows in Australia and Europe scheduled from March to May, following medical advice for Campbell. At the time, no further details were shared.
