Fan-filmed video capturing extreme metal supergroup Scour performing at the 2026 Mystic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland, on June 6 has surfaced online.
Scour features a formidable lineup of heavy music veterans, led by vocalist Phil Anselmo (Pantera, Down). The collective is rounded out by Derek Engemann (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals), John Jarvis (Nest, Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index, Lock Up).

The group is currently performing in support of their debut full-length album, Gold, which was released in February 2025 via Housecore Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe. The record builds upon the musical foundation of the band’s previous EP trilogy, delivering a relentless blend of black metal, grindcore, punk, and thrash.
Gold features cover artwork by Cain Gillis and includes a special guest guitar solo from Gary Holt (Slayer, Exodus).
The intensive recording process for the album began in February 2023 at Nodferatu’s Lair, Phil Anselmo‘s personal studio and rehearsal space. After tracking the primary instrumentation, Anselmo recorded his lead vocals in the fall of 2023. Showcasing the hectic schedule of the musicians involved, the rest of the band recorded their backing vocals in backstage arena rooms throughout Pantera‘s February 2024 tour. Once the final mixes were completed by engineer Dennis Israel, the tracks were handed over to Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studio in Örebro, Sweden, for mastering.
Formed in 2015, Scour debuted with the blistering single “Dispatched“. The band subsequently released a trilogy of EPs: The Grey EP in 2016, The Red EP in 2017, and The Black EP in 2020. That final EP featured high-profile guest appearances from Erik Rutan, Pat O’Brien, and actor Jason Momoa.
Despite their relatively short timeline as an active touring unit, the extreme metal collective has brought their intense live show to major global stages over the years, including prominent appearances at Roskilde, Hellfest, Tecate Metal Fest, and Maryland Deathfest.
