The musical legacy of the original “Voice of the Beast” will continue to reverberate in the coming years. It has been officially confirmed that a final live album from late Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di’Anno is set for a posthumous release in 2026.
This upcoming LP will serve as a definitive historical document, capturing performances from the singer’s relentless touring schedule in 2024—the final year of his life. The project is being positioned not just as a piece of merchandise, but as a conceptual farewell to the heavy metal community.
According to a statement released via Di’Anno‘s official social media channels, the release will be strictly curated for collectors. The record will be available “only and exclusively on vinyl in a very limited edition,” with pre-orders expected to launch alongside the formal announcement.
While specific details regarding the track listing and the exact location of the recording remain under wraps, the estate has promised a full reveal before the end of the year.
The official statement reads:
“We just received news that a new Paul Di’Anno album will be released in 2026. It will be his last live album, recorded on tour in 2024. Just before Christmas, we will reveal the name of the album, the set list, the record label and the concert where the album was recorded.
“His backing band will also release an official press release for this special edition at the same time. The name of the album, the art design of the cover and the layout, as a kind of concept, will carry a special message and will make all fans very proud.”
The live album is just one part of a broader effort to preserve the vocalist’s history. As previously reported, 2026 will also see the release of the official documentary “Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer“. The film is helmed by acclaimed director Wes Orshoski, the filmmaker responsible for the definitive Motörhead documentary “Lemmy” (2010) and the punk rock retrospective “The Damned: Don’t You Wish That We Were Dead” (2015).
Di’Anno, born Paul Andrews, passed away on October 21, 2024, at his home in Salisbury at the age of 66. He was laid to rest on November 21 at the City Of London Cemetery And Crematorium.
Though his tenure in Iron Maiden lasted only from 1978 to 1981, his contributions to the groundbreaking debut Iron Maiden and the gritty follow-up Killers established the template for the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Following his departure, he maintained a prolific, if turbulent, career fronting bands such as Battlezone and Killers, alongside a myriad of solo projects.
