Ozzy Osbourne’s Family ‘Disgusted’ By Online Conspiracy Theories Surrounding His Death

Amid mourning Ozzy Osbourne’s passing, his family now faces a wave of false online theories spreading hurtful claims about the rock legend’s death.

Ozzy Osbourne Final Show

The Osbourne family is facing an agonizing new challenge in the wake of Ozzy Osbourne’s passing on July 22, 2025. While grieving the loss of the legendary Black Sabbath singer, who died peacefully at his Buckinghamshire home surrounded by loved ones, they are now confronting a disturbing surge of false and hurtful online theories regarding the circumstances of his death.

Ozzy Osbourne, 76, succumbed to his long battle with Parkinson’s disease, with his wife Sharon Osbourne and their children, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne, by his side. Emergency services were present to provide assistance, confirming that his passing was calm and surrounded by affection. The family’s initial statement, released shortly after his death, underscored their need for privacy during this difficult period and affirmed that Ozzy was “surrounded by love.”

Despite the clear and heartfelt communication from the Osbournes, a wave of baseless and cruel claims has begun circulating across social media platforms. These disturbing narratives suggest Ozzy took his own life and, even more egregiously, implicate his family in the alleged decision. Such hurtful rumors have gained traction online and have even been mentioned on U.S. radio stations, including Sirius XM, where Ozzy had his own dedicated channel.

A close family friend has spoken out against these malicious falsehoods, revealing the profound distress they are causing Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, and Jack Osbourne. “The family are still grieving and to deal with this bull**t is vile,” the friend told The Sun. “Ozzy passed away at home and the paramedics tried to save him – fact.”

The same source condemned the proliferation of misinformation by self-proclaimed online experts who operate without any factual basis. They noted the alarming speed at which these narratives multiply, despite clear evidence to the contrary.

“It is simply disgusting, because these social media idiots are not credible, but somehow their narrative is spreading every day. Even though they have no knowledge, other online users treat this fake news as fact. The raft of trolls and rumors has spiraled in recent days. It is quite sick that people would think that Ozzy would do such a thing.”

Further exacerbating the pain, fabricated AI videos falsely depicting the Black Sabbath icon discussing taking control of his final moments have been widely shared, adding another layer of distress for the family. “The man absolutely loved being around his family and his grandchildren especially. Vile comments have come in to the family’s feeds accusing them of being involved in some kind of conspiracy. It has horrified them all,” the insider revealed.

The family friend also stressed that Ozzy had been in positive spirits following his farewell performance with Black Sabbath and had much to anticipate in the coming months.

“There’s no way he would’ve taken his life, because no matter how tough his physical and medical conditions were, being with his family and especially his grandchildren provided him with immense joy and huge highs,” the source emphasized. Sharon Osbourne, who shared an incredibly strong bond with Ozzy, is reportedly struggling immensely with his loss. “Sharon has really taken Ozzy’s passing so, so hard. They were such a strong force together,” the insider concluded, noting that the couple had been enthusiastically planning a film project and a documentary in the weeks leading up to his death. The family urges respect for their privacy as they navigate this painful period, compounded by the cruel spread of online untruths.
