High-quality, pro-shot footage of Megadeth delivering a massive set at the 2026 Hellfest Open Air festival in Clisson, France, is now officially available online. Originally captured on June 20, the full 15-song performance has been uploaded by ARTE Concert, giving fans around the globe a front-row seat to the thrash icons’ current live show.
The highly anticipated live footage arrives in the midst of the band’s ongoing farewell tour. Last year, founding vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine confirmed that this global trek will be the group’s final chapter, citing his own ongoing medical issues as the primary reason for stepping away from the road.
However, the legendary act expects to spend the next few years touring the world extensively before officially hanging up their instruments for good.
“We’re easily talking about touring for another three to five years,” Mustaine revealed at the time. Reflecting on the personal side of such a long run, the 64-year-old added with a chuckle, “If we’re going to be doing it for that long then, s**t, I’ll be looking at the birthday I don’t even want to think about,” referring to turning 70 in 2031.
The newly released Hellfest setlist heavily features undisputed classics alongside fresh cuts from the band’s latest album Megadeth. That record, released earlier this year, became a major milestone for the band, debuting at No. 1 in the United States — Megadeth’s first-ever chart-topping album. It moved 73,000 equivalent album units in its opening week, including 69,000 pure sales, according to Luminate.
